Scuff sand glossy surfaces, repair any imperfections, and remove dust with a damp cloth before allowing it to dry. New plaster should be properly cured, cracks and holes patched, sanded smooth, and primed with this product. New woods may require an oil-based primer/sealer, while metal surfaces should use a proper rust primer.

When applying this paint, make sure to stir or mix it before use and intermix all containers for color uniformity. It can be applied as is with a high-quality applicator such as a 3/8 inches nap roller cover, brush, or pad painter. Thin sparingly with water if needed for spraying. The average coverage is 250-400 sq. ft. (37 square meters) per gallon (3.78 L). It dries in one hour and can be recoated, if necessary, after four hours. For cleanup, warm water and soap are recommended.

A semi-gloss finish is more reflective than satin but not as shiny as gloss. It provides walls with a shiny appearance, making a room appear brighter. Off-whites and pale shades of lighter colors are enhanced by the glossy effect created with these finishes. Semi-gloss finishes are ideal for high humidity areas like bathrooms and kitchens, as they are easy to clean compared to other finishes. However, the downside is that imperfections on walls or ceilings may be more noticeable with a gloss finish.
