Before painting, it is important to prepare the surface by removing any loose paint and cleaning it with detergent to eliminate dirt, grease, and other contaminants. Rinse the surface well to remove any soap residue and allow it to dry. Scuff sand glossy surfaces and repair any imperfections before painting. New plaster should be properly cured, patched, and sanded smooth before priming with this product. New wood surfaces may require an oil-based primer/sealer, while metal surfaces should be primed with a rust primer.

When applying the paint, be sure to stir or mix it before use and intermix all containers for color uniformity. Use a high-quality applicator such as a 3/8 inch nap roller cover, brush, or pad painter. Thin the paint sparingly with water if necessary for spraying. The average coverage is 250-400 sq. ft. per gallon, with a dry time of one hour and recoat time of four hours. After 14 days, the painted surface can be gently cleaned with a non-abrasive cleaner.

Cleanup is easy with warm water and soap, as this paint is a 100% acrylic latex formula that allows for simple soap and water clean-up. The semi-gloss finish is more reflective than satin, providing walls with a shiny appearance that brightens a room. Off-whites and pale shades are enhanced by the glossy effect created by this finish, making it ideal for areas with high humidity such as bathrooms and kitchens. However, the gloss finish may highlight imperfections on walls or ceilings.
